I went off on my merry way and proceeded to work. When it was time to head out for the day, I realized that, regardless of my lack of sleep from the night prior, I didnt appear to have any problems focusing on my work during the day. Now keep in mind that I dont have the kind of job that includes repetitive tasks. Im a software architect that spends his days creating elegant solutions to complex problems by means of ridiculous amounts of code. For me to have the ability to focus on my work for an entire day without issue after only a couple of hours of sleep is fantastic. The gorgeous component of it all is I had that focus with out having to beat the crap out of my heart with an overdose of caffeine, which meant no jitters or random voices in my head (does anyone else get those?).
