My insomnia status: I wake up 6-10 times throughout the night, sometimes to pee, sometimes for no apparent reason at all. It typically takes me anywhere from 5-45 min to fall back asleep after every one, and thats after my usual hour or two to fall asleep in the first place. I set aside 8 hours each night for sleeping, but get between 2-5 hours per night. I have tried several of the little lifestyle changes you'll be able to make (i.e. far more exercise, cutting out stimulating activities for the last couple of hours just before bed, no caffeine etc) and though sometimes it appears like they help, i still can not consistently sleep well.
